Managing Director

Austin Nikirk, Managing Director, is a graduate of the Sunderman Conservatory at Gettysburg College (B.M. Voice/Opera) and the Middlebury Institute for International Studies in Monterey, California (M.A. Translation and Interpretation). She also studied at the École Normale de Musique with internationally renowned soprano Sylvie Valayre, and has returned to France several times since. She was an intern with the choir during their 2019-2020 season, and an Assistant Director in Fall 2020. Growing up, Austin sang and worked with the Children’s Chorus of Maryland and the American Kodály Children’s Chorus.

Today, she sings with Lux, a professional choir in Washington D.C. As a church musician, Austin has sung with Second Presbyterian in Baltimore, MD, Christ Lutheran in Gettysburg, PA, and l'Eglise protéstante de la Somme in Amiens, France. Her current position is at the Church of the Ascension and Saint Agnes in Washington, D.C.
