The choir is open to students in grades three through twelve who are able to match pitch. Members are evaluated and selected through an informal audition process. Singers are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances and learn music through regular practice at home. The annual participation fee of $150 includes weekly instruction, sheet music, and a portfolio bag. Uniform vests and bowties are provided as part of the formal concert attire.
Our season runs from late August through the beginning of May. The Children's Choir meets Monday evenings from 5:30-7:00PM. The Chamber Chorale meets Monday nights from 7:10-8:00PM this Fall and 7:15-8:45PM in the Spring. Additional rehearsals may be held as needed. Rehearsals include vocal warm-ups, movement, and music reading instruction, in addition to music preparation. Audio recordings are provided for home practice.
Auditions for new members will be held Thursday, August 22 from 4-7PM or by appointment with Dr. Talbot (email@example.com); please contact him or Mrs. Bowman to set up a time. Auditions are located in room 214 in Schmucker Hall at Gettysburg College.
Those auditioning for: Children's Choir should prepare to sing America (My Country Tis of Thee) or Happy Birthday. Chamber Chorale should prepare a familiar tune that is comfortable in their singing range.

Our annual (August - May) participation fee is $150. Our semi-annual (January - May) participation fee is $110 for singers who join us in January. New members pay an additional $15 fee for a choir polo.

Credit cards are accepted through our PayPal account (an additional 2.9% + $0.30 is applied to your purchase to offset the transaction fees charged to the choir).
